Community Board

The Community Board members are made up of tenants, leaseholders, Ealing Council officers, local Councillors, local professionals, Countryside, Catalyst Housing and L&Q Housing Trust. The Community Board meet quarterly to oversee the regeneration of Acton Gardens.

Why should you consider being involved with the Community Board?

  • To ensure the opinions and views of all residents are taken into account by all the teams involved
  • Meet residents who have already moved as part of the regeneration process
  • Clarification on regeneration concerns or queries of the community
  • Meet with the Acton Gardens staff

Residents are invited to attend and observe Community Board meetings to get a feel of what we do. Please contact Acton Gardens beforehand to book a place.

How to Join the Board?

There are two ways to become officially involved in the Community Board

Casual Vacancies – if a Board member leaves, new members can be co-opted in at the next Board meeting (if they meet the criteria) before the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This means that the co-opted member will be required to stand down at the next general election and seek re-election.

Election – At the AGM residents will be invited to stand for election. Residents will be able to serve a term of three years before standing down or seeking re-election.

We currently have three vacancies on the Community Board. If you are interested in applying, please email

The next Community Board meetings for this year are being held on:

  • Monday 16th September 2019
  • Monday 16th December 2019
